Romens AI release notes
Explore new features, experience improvements, and important fixes by version.
Smoother everyday use and more reliable document work
Romens AI 2.2.1 improves everyday navigation and long-form reading, while making Word, Excel and PowerPoint document work and application updates more reliable.
Smoother everyday use
- Home, project workspaces, mini apps and remote computers are easier to reach, with less waiting and fewer repeated selections.
- The “@” menu now includes a search field, making Skills easier to find and improving Chinese text input.
- Long answers and tables are easier to read, with less crowded text and more natural line wrapping.
- Fixes cases where enterprise models showed incorrect capabilities or disappeared from the model list.
More reliable Office document work
- Batch edits in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are safer, with clear messages when a file cannot be saved.
- Improves Word revisions and multi-page previews, PowerPoint template and chart copying, and large Excel formulas and charts.
- My Files shows fewer intermediate analysis files, making final deliverables easier to find.
More reliable installation and updates
- Fixes an update button that could not be clicked. The app now checks for unsaved work before upgrading and recovers normally when preparation fails.
- Improves Windows plugin installation and Linux package compatibility, reducing failures caused by paths or system environments.
- Linux users can now manage the Agent API from application settings.
Features depend on the current platform, enterprise authorization and enabled configuration. Desktop, mobile and every native mobile app use the unified 2.2.1 version number for this release.
Home becomes a personal workspace, with better images, mobile and Bots
Romens AI 2.2.0 turns Home into a personal workspace for current work, today's priorities, tasks and frequently used entries. Images gain local annotation and AI editing, mobile can receive files shared from other apps, and personal Bots can connect to more messaging channels.
Home becomes a personal workspace
Home now includes Continue working, Needs my attention, Today's priorities and Frequently used entries, so you can return to recent work more quickly.
- Add, edit and arrange tasks, priorities, quick notes, links and frequently used apps.
- Show up to three priorities for today, set reminders, mark items complete or move tasks into today's priorities.
- Search Home for conversations, tasks and work content.
- Asking from Home or opening a scene task starts a new conversation in the selected or default workspace, with the question placed in the composer for you to review before sending.
- For non-Popular editions, Home no longer creates separate conversations. Existing history remains available.
Annotate and edit images with AI
The image preview in the right workbench now includes a full local editor.
- Use a pen, arrows, boxes, text and an annotation eraser, with undo and redo.
- Compare changes with the original and save a new PNG copy.
- Ask AI to modify an image using boxes, arrows and written instructions.
- AI results appear as new versions that you can refine, compare or save separately.
- Add the edited image directly to the current conversation.
- The app warns about unsaved image or document edits before closing a tab or quitting.
AI image editing requires the corresponding enterprise capability. Local annotation and editing do not require an AI service.
Better enterprise-managed models
After an enterprise connects its model gateway and grants access, members can directly use the model resources assigned to them.
- Supports dedicated pools, shared pools and multiple resource pools.
- Members do not need to enter provider API keys themselves.
- Model menus show only the necessary information and remove repeated pool names.
- Exhausted quotas and temporary rate limits have separate messages, avoiding ineffective retries.
Existing personal model connections and other model integrations remain available.
Share files to mobile more easily
iOS, Android and HarmonyOS can receive files shared to Romens AI from WeChat, file managers and other apps.
- A new conversation is created automatically in the current workspace when files arrive.
- Files are placed in the composer and are never sent automatically.
- Add a question, remove attachments or continue later.
- Images receive a preview when possible, and their actual file format is detected automatically.
- File uploads recover more reliably after returning from the background, changing networks or renewing a connection.
Stronger mobile-to-computer access
Phones signed in to the same account now have clearer levels of access when connected to a computer.
- A standard connection can view conversations, files and mini apps.
- After “Allow my phone to operate this computer” is enabled on the computer, the phone can handle everyday approvals and selected work actions.
- Sensitive actions such as changing connectors or creating components still require time-limited Full Control.
- When access is missing, the app explains what to do on the computer instead of showing an unclear English error.
- Returning from a Bot, mini app or knowledge page takes you back to the space you came from.
Personal Bots reach more work channels
One personal Bot can connect to Feishu, DingTalk and WeCom and continue working across those channels.
- Choose the Skills and connectors the Bot should use.
- Read documents, receive messages and handle tasks within granted access.
- Route a Feishu app to a personal Bot or an Agent.
- Let a Bot create, update, pause and delete its own routines.
- Routine changes show a confirmation and can be undone.
- Pending approvals can recover after reconnection, reducing interrupted work.
These capabilities require the enterprise to configure the corresponding messaging platforms and connectors.
A more continuous execution flow
- Permission cards lead with plain-language explanations and keep commands in the details.
- After choosing Always allow, later operations in the current task can continue; prompting resumes automatically after the task ends.
- Read-only connector queries and document work inside designated working folders require fewer repeated confirmations.
- Reasoning effort can be adjusted while a task is running and applies from the next model request.
- Derived conversations appear beneath their parent conversation and can be expanded or collapsed, making complex task structure easier to follow.
Connector, Agent and Skill improvements
- Adds the Plaud recording connector with example prompts.
- Tencent Meeting supports QR-code sign-in in the side browser.
- Kingsoft Docs now uses the official WPS authorization flow.
- Qichacha authorization failures include clearer recovery guidance.
- My Skills → All shows only Skills installed in the current workspace.
- Skill versions, review states and submission failures are shown more accurately.
- Fixes enterprise Agent installation failures caused by different Skill dependency or connector-reference formats.
File and everyday experience improvements
- My Files no longer mixes analysis configuration and review files into deliverables.
- File generation dates prefer trusted creation times and show Unknown when they cannot be established.
- Pending attachments can be removed directly on both mobile and desktop.
- Fixes mobile conversation filters, Bot back navigation, knowledge lists and mini-app permission guidance.
- Improves Windows startup, web scrolling, connection recovery and cross-device stability.
Features depend on the current platform, enterprise authorization and enabled configuration. Desktop, web and mobile capabilities are rolling out with their corresponding releases.
Desktop, mobile and every native mobile app use the unified 2.2.0 version number for this release.
Code from a conversation, and better files and Bots
Romens AI 2.1.0 adds Coding mode: change code right from a conversation, give each task its own working folder, and see a pull request's conflicts, review comments and checks at the top of the chat. Large attachments, whole-PDF recognition, default knowledge bases and one-time Bot reminders work better, and the mobile app reconnects on its own when you return to it.
Code from a conversation
- Coding mode: On desktop, turn on Coding before the first message of a new conversation, and Romens AI focuses on code with a shorter prompt and a smaller tool set, while still following your preferences, project context and project rules. You can also make new conversations start in Coding mode from the workspace settings. Switching the mode in a conversation that has already started continues in a new conversation, with a summary of what came before. Coding mode isn't available on phones yet.
- A separate folder for each task: Pick an existing folder, or create a new branch and working folder for a local repository from the Coding menu, so several tasks can run side by side without getting in each other's way. When you are signed in to GitHub on your computer, you can also pick a GitHub repository; one that isn't on your computer yet is downloaded first.
- Pull request status at the top of the chat: Coding conversations show merge conflicts, review comments, check results, and whether you have uncommitted or unpushed changes. One click asks Romens AI to resolve the conflicts, address the comments or fix the failing checks; it pushes code or replies on GitHub only when you ask.
GitHub repositories and pull request status need a working GitHub sign-in or connection. Personal cloud workspaces support local repositories and separate working folders inside authorized folders in this release, but not yet the GitHub repository list or pull request status.
Files, knowledge and everyday tasks
- More reliable large attachments: Up to 100 MB per file in regular conversations; up to 10 attachments and 100 MB in total per Bot message. Uploads can be canceled and retried, unsent drafts are kept, and slow uploads show their progress on the attachment itself.
- Recognize a whole PDF: After updating the Document Recognition or Document Parsing plugin, Romens AI reads an entire PDF in batches instead of only the first pages, keeps the original page numbers, and can pick up where it left off in long documents.
- Your default knowledge base is yours alone: The default knowledge base is set per member and per workspace, can be unset at any time, and no longer affects colleagues or other workspaces. New conversations start with it attached; remove it if you don't need it.
- Scene task cards: When your enterprise sets them up, the new-conversation page of regular workspaces shows common scene tasks and recommended Agents. A click only fills in the question so you can edit it before sending, and you can enable the connectors it needs right there.
- One-time Bot reminders: Ask for one-off reminders such as "remind me about the meeting at 9 tomorrow", even if you settle the time over a few messages; the reminder turns itself off after it runs. You still confirm it before it is created, and the computer or cloud the Bot runs on must be online when it runs.
- Personal Bots remember script approvals: Choose Always allow on a script approval and the same operation won't ask again; you'll be asked again if the script changes, and you can revoke approvals in Bot settings.
- More materials on the web Home page: On the web, Add materials on Home lets you choose DingTalk, Feishu and WeCom documents you have authorized, and open apps your enterprise has authorized; apps that can't be embedded open in a new tab.
Agents and enterprise management
- Turn off an enterprise Agent just for yourself: Members can turn off an enterprise Agent they don't use without affecting colleagues.
- Agents with long instructions last longer: Agents with long instructions no longer fill up the context after a few turns.
- Submit Agents for review on the web: Submit right after validation passes. Agent and skill cards show the actual version and review status, and explain why an item can't be installed.
- See promotion status: With platform promotion turned on, enterprises can see whether an Agent is under review, promoted or returned.
- Clearer messages in cloud workspaces: Cloud workspaces explain why an Agent or plugin can only be used on your computer, and messages for installing and uninstalling plugins, testing skills and publish checks are clearer.
- Business instances for selected members: Admins can grant an RMIS business instance to selected departments, user groups or members (a department grant includes its sub-departments). Members without a grant no longer see or open the instance. Existing instances stay open to the whole enterprise.
- Guidance while Feishu authorization awaits review: When a Feishu connection needs admin approval, Romens AI tells you what to do next.
Mobile and web
- iPhone Duo folding and unfolding: The iOS app automatically adapts its layout when you fold, unfold or rotate the device, keeping the current conversation and unsent text drafts.
- Reconnects when you come back: When you return to the mobile app, it reconnects on its own and keeps your Bot list, the current conversation and unsent drafts.
- Smoother files and videos on phones: Viewing task deliverables, PDFs and Office files on phones is more reliable, and videos on the web and phones start playing while they load.
- Word opens more reliably on the web: Chinese fonts are prepared in advance with download progress shown, and a slow connection keeps waiting instead of timing out before the document opens.
- Better typing on tablets and foldables: Fixed the input box being covered when the keyboard opens on Android tablets, unfolded foldables and iPad, and large tablets show workspace tabs again. The Bot input box on phones is compact again and shows your custom background.
Desktop
- One zoom setting: The zoom selector in the top bar and Settings → Appearance → Default zoom stay in sync, and your choice is kept when you reopen the app.
- Integration Cloud runtime 1.5.5: RBC, G3ERP and other connectors are updated with it.
- Right-click menu: The installed app now has a right-click menu with Cut, Copy, Paste, Select All, Copy Link and spelling suggestions.
- Copy your own messages: Hover a message you sent to copy its text.
- Confirm before removing a workspace: Removing a workspace now asks first, and explains that its folder and conversations stay on your computer and how to add it back.
- Updates don't interrupt downloads: Checking for updates no longer interrupts a download in progress.
- Copy old Home conversations to your personal workspace: Copied by owner; the original records stay.
Fixes
- Fixed clicking the Dock icon not reopening the main window after it was closed on macOS.
- Fixed some conversations in the installed app being unable to read images.
- Fixed conversations that could not continue after switching to Kimi K3 because of an earlier model's reasoning.
- Fixed knowledge base authorization not renewing on its own after it expired, which took several minutes to recover.
- Fixed restoring a conversation failing right away during a brief network drop; it now retries once.
- Fixed the session list showing "Not connected" while offline; it now refreshes after reconnecting.
- Fixed blank screens and repeated loading after waking from sleep, reconnecting or switching tabs.
- Fixed older to-dos only appearing at the end of the list when sessions are grouped by status.
- Fixed incorrectly generated chart cards occasionally appearing in answers.
- Fixed an error when opening the Agent editor on the web.
- Fixed Bots being reported as interrupted while waiting for approval, approval cards not refreshing, and scheduled tasks running twice while awaiting approval.
- Fixed conflicts when installing several plugins at once; installs now queue.
- Fixed searching skills in Chinese after typing @.
- Fixed some generated Word files not opening; very large Office files now open in a read-only preview.
- Fixed local images, audio and video not showing in HTML previews, and some PDFs and videos not opening on a phone companion connection.
- On Windows, a missing runtime now shows the minimum system requirement (Windows 10 1809 or Windows Server 2019) instead of a confusing technical error.
Features depend on your platform, enterprise authorization and enabled configuration. Web and cloud features take effect after the server is updated.
Clearer answers and easier Bot workflows
Romens AI 2.0.3 makes answers easier to understand: data appears as charts, options appear as comparison cards, and you can ask a follow-up question with one click. Bots no longer need your confirmation for every routine file change, and Home opens faster and more reliably.
Charts and cards directly in answers
When you ask about sales data, expense comparisons, or work plans, Romens AI puts key figures, trend charts, tables, option comparisons, and step-by-step lists directly in the answer, so you can find what matters without searching through long passages.
Adjust things directly in the answer
For calculations and estimates, change numbers, select items, or switch views directly in the answer and see the results update. Your next question carries those adjustments forward for Romens AI to analyze. Before sending, you can review the accompanying information and remove anything you do not need.
Follow up with one click
Answers include suggested follow-up questions or next steps. Click one to continue. If the message box already contains an unsent draft, the suggestion is added after it without replacing your text.
Bots need fewer confirmations
In Bot settings, select Controlled auto under Capabilities → How it runs. The Bot can then create and edit files in its working folder without asking each time. Deleting or moving files, installing software, accessing the network, or working outside that folder still requires your approval. Ask every step remains the default.
Other improvements
- Recover Home conversations from 1.x: After upgrading, the desktop app copies your old Home conversations into the Legacy Home project in your local workspace. You can view them and continue chatting, and the original records are preserved.
- Home opens faster: Fewer repeated startup checks help lower-spec Windows computers get past the Home loading screen sooner.
- Better DingTalk, Feishu, and WeCom connections: All three connector tools have been updated. WeCom supports online presentations and reads documents more completely. Permission errors now explain which permission is missing.
- Cleaner My Files: Artifact lists no longer include runtime logs and raw data files, and project filters show all projects.
- Support for iPhone photos: Attach photos taken on an iPhone in HEIC format directly to a conversation.
- Plugins for personal cloud workspaces: Install plugins from the plugin center in a cloud workspace you use on your own. Slow or failed installations show a clear message.
- Safer shared workspaces: In workspaces shared by multiple people, Romens AI no longer runs commands or changes files, and shared account authorizations can be viewed but not changed. Use a personal workspace when you need Romens AI to edit files.
- More reliable Windows installation: Installation retries automatically after an error. If it still fails, the installer explains why and where to find the logs.
Fixes
- Fixed being sent back to the sign-in page after signing in to business apps such as Liuxiang Cloud and CRM.
- Fixed personal backgrounds making menus, dialogs, and panels transparent, causing overlapping text and hiding business forms.
- Fixed large blue selection overlays covering knowledge base and application tabs.
- Fixed Bots stopping partway through a task with a “Result unknown” message.
- Fixed authorization refresh errors when using enterprise agents in Windows cloud workspaces.
- Fixed duplicate Romens AI icons in the Windows taskbar after signing in again, switching accounts, or updating.
- Fixed the desktop still showing “Waiting for phone to connect” after a phone connected by scanning the QR code.
- Fixed sign-in failures on intranets. The knowledge base also retries automatically if it does not open the first time.
- Fixed new conversations disappearing when the list was filtered.
- Fixed conversations used on a phone or the web still showing a reasoning status when reopened on the desktop.
- Fixed video playback failures, failures to save files from a conversation, and mini app links that would not open. Word files that cannot be opened now show an explanation.
- Fixed example code in answers being mistaken for Office files.
Available features depend on your platform, enterprise authorization, and enabled configuration.
Edit Office documents in place and an upgraded workbench
Romens AI 2.0.2 makes working with documents more direct: open a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file in the side panel to edit it, or ask Romens AI to change the document you are looking at.
Edit Office documents in the side panel
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files created in a conversation can be edited directly in the side panel, with autosave, draft recovery, version conflict warnings, and undo and redo. Complex or unsupported files can switch to compatible preview.
Let Romens AI edit the document you have open
With a spreadsheet, presentation, or Word document open in the side panel, ask Romens AI to read and change its contents, and the edits appear in the editor right away. Select cells, shapes, or text and click Add to chat to put the selection in the message box, where you can review or remove it before sending.
A more convenient workbench
Open or collapse the workbench with one button in the title bar. A new tab brings together the browser, the local terminal, and the current conversation's files, artifacts, mini apps, and recently opened items, and you can remove entries from the recent list. You can also ask Romens AI to open a workspace page or an installed mini app in the side panel.
Files and previews
My Files, the artifact center, and the conversation file list show thumbnails for PDF, Word, PowerPoint, web page, and image files. The Markdown source view previews formulas, images, tables, and links as you type, the side panel plays videos, and more types of Mermaid diagrams now display correctly.
Agent center
Enterprise agent cards are more compact and clearly show whether an agent is not installed, installed, updatable, or disabled. The More Agents page opens faster.
Fixes
- Fixed enterprises without the knowledge base being unable to send messages on the desktop.
- Fixed personal background themes covering agent text and cards.
- Fixed clicking a file in a conversation sometimes opening content that did not match that conversation.
- The session info panel now scrolls when its content is long.
Available features depend on your platform, version, and enterprise authorization.
Romens AI 2.0: Application Center, agents, and Bot work assistants
Romens AI 2.0 makes everyday work easier: find everyday tools in Application Center, let agents work with your business materials, and use Bots to follow up over time.
Application Center: business tools in one place
Applications authorized by your enterprise are brought together in one place. Search, browse by category, and pin favorites to open and use everyday business tools within Romens AI.
Agents that fit your work
Choose an agent for your role or task and get started with example prompts. Give it the right skills and knowledge materials so it understands your business and you spend less time repeating background information.
Bots that keep tasks moving
Use your own agent as a Bot for ongoing conversations, remembering preferences, and arranging scheduled tasks after your confirmation. The work center brings together items needing attention, work in progress, and recent results so you can follow progress at a glance.
Answers grounded in knowledge and documents
Add files, Romens AI knowledge bases, or specific documents to a conversation for questions, summaries, and analysis. On the local desktop, you can also connect DingTalk, Feishu, and WeCom documents, reducing the need to find and copy materials between applications.
Experimental features
- DeepSeek open-source Agent framework (DSH) (experimental): the official open-source Agent framework from DeepSeek is now included.
- Jev judgment model (experimental): quickly classify, score, and filter content in batches.
Smoother everyday use
Clearer input and application entry points help you get around, while conversations and drafts stay in place as you switch pages. Connection recovery, file previews, installation, and updates have also improved to keep your work flowing. Other issues have been fixed to improve application stability.
Platforms now share the 2.0 version series, with updates delivered in stages. Available features depend on your current version and enterprise authorization. Your computer and Romens AI need to stay online for local Bots to run tasks.
Desktop Link, offline use, and scheduled task improvements
This release brings together improvements since the v0.13.11 release notes, including Desktop Link, offline use, and scheduled task management, along with better cross-device connections, chat interactions, and reliability.
New capabilities
- Desktop Link: Connect to another computer's workspaces from “My Computers” under the same user account. Send resources, remotely install and uninstall marketplace agents, and view or revoke connected devices.
- Offline use: A new local profile lets you connect to models you deploy yourself without signing in, keeping its data separate from your company account.
- Scheduled tasks: Create and edit tasks using forms, configure daily, weekly, monthly, and other schedules, and preview upcoming runs. Added failure notifications, interruption records, and catch-up runs for schedules missed during downtime.
- Connect your phone to a computer: QR scans and connection codes now use the same pairing flow. After confirmation on the computer, the app remembers the device for future connections. Browser connections continue to use temporary authorization.
- Conversations and forms: Copy user messages, load them into the composer for editing, and view their timestamps. Business forms have improved required-field validation, long-form scrolling, and mobile layouts. Small text attachments can be provided directly to the model.
- Deployment options: Added native Linux service installation and portable trial options for Windows and Mac.
Fixes and usability improvements
- Reconnect encrypted connections before they expire and restore pending approval prompts after reconnection.
- Remove offline computer registrations that are no longer needed.
- Make the full-control entry available by default. Actual access still requires manual authorization on the target computer.
- Fixed macOS menus displaying the internal package name.
- Fixed missing remote Home workspaces, crashes on some settings pages, and stale model names when the model list is empty.
- Improved sign-in recovery after sleep, connector credential persistence, and Windows update reliability.
Upgrade notes
The version on this page refers to desktop v0.13.13. Mobile apps retain their separate version numbers. Features involving Portal, mobile apps, or remote servers require matching component updates. Company capabilities depend on administrator authorization and what is available in your account.
Better mobile companion, file previews, and agent reliability
This release brings together improvements since v0.13.6, with a focus on everyday use of the Romens AI mobile companion. Switching workspaces, reading conversations, and saving files is easier on your phone, while document previews, company agents, and sign-in recovery are more reliable across devices.
Mobile companion: easier navigation and reading
- A unified switcher brings together Home, Knowledge, and workspaces, remembers your last accessible space, and remains available inside conversations.
- Improved conversation-list scrolling and actions reduce accidental opens while swiping. Returning to Home no longer unexpectedly creates an empty conversation.
- Long historical replies can be collapsed, expanded, copied, or read in full screen. The latest reply and responses still being generated remain fully visible.
- Improved keyboard layout reduces cases where the composer, welcome content, or top navigation is obscured. The keyboard closes automatically after sending a message.
- When connected to your computer, the mobile companion can open Knowledge according to your organization's permissions and correctly display the computer's authorized connectors.
- Better display and scrolling compatibility on some Android devices and in browsers embedded in DingTalk and WeCom.
File previews and downloads: take your work with you
- Fixed blank Word, Excel, and PowerPoint previews, or previews opening the startup page, in the mobile app, mobile companion, and desktop remote workspaces.
- The mobile app now uses system file export: choose a save location on Android, or use the iOS share menu to save to Files or hand a file to another app.
- Improved file lookup and opening reduce incorrect matches between files with the same name, broken generated-file links, and interference between previews from different tasks.
- Previews can refresh after document changes. Retry and fallback preview options help recover from loading failures and stale or blank content.
Mobile app exports support files up to 20 MB each. Use your computer for larger files. System file export requires an updated mobile app and matching web service updates.
Agents and company connectors: more reliable delivery and use
- Agents can include validated private skills when published and installed, reducing manual dependency setup.
- New checks before agent submission identify configuration, skill, and dependency problems. Changed content must pass checks again before submission.
- Improved automatic recovery when company-agent authorization becomes stale. Task startup failures now show a reason instead of leaving an action without feedback.
- Improved session-level memory for “Always allow” reduces repeated prompts for the same authorized operations while preserving company permission rules.
- Added connection entries for more Romens Integration Cloud products, including Romens Cloud, Clinic Cloud, Insurance Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and OMS-O2O, shown according to company authorization and business configuration.
Conversations and accounts: clearer organization and steadier recovery
- A simpler conversation sidebar emphasizes Backlog, To Do, and Needs Review, groups historical conversations under Archived, and keeps Flagged as a shortcut filter.
- Improved context-usage display, compaction status, and continuation after interruptions in long conversations.
- Better transition messages and failure recovery during sign-in, sign-out, and account switching reduce window flicker and prolonged loading states.
- Improved sign-in renewal for remote workspaces and Knowledge reduces interruptions caused by expired credentials.
- Optimized personal backgrounds and themes to reduce rendering work from repeated blur effects.
Desktop updates: choose when to download and restart
- A persistent status at the top of the app lets you review release notes before choosing to download an available update.
- After downloading, choose “Restart and update” when ready. Quitting the app normally does not automatically install the update.
- Fixed the update menu failing to open from Home and incomplete layouts for update messages and buttons.
Upgrade notes
The version on this page refers to desktop and Android v0.13.11. iOS continues on its separate 1.1 version line. Mobile file export, remote document previews, bundled agent skills, and Knowledge access may require matching client and server updates. Company capabilities depend on administrator approval and what is enabled for your account.
Mobile access arrives, with better documents and long conversations
This update extends Romens AI from your computer to your phone while improving document creation, knowledge answers, and company capabilities. You can pick up an active task on mobile, edit documents and drawings in your workspace, and rely on smoother long conversations, file previews, and model connections.
Mobile access: pick up tasks away from your computer
Romens AI now has a mobile web experience that you can connect to quickly by scanning a QR code on the desktop app, with nothing extra to install.
- View tasks, continue conversations, and browse AI-generated files and results from your phone.
- Mobile connections start with limited permissions to help prevent unintended sensitive actions.
- Full control requires identity verification on your phone and time-limited approval on your computer.
- Task data traveling between your phone and computer is protected with end-to-end encryption.
- Improved conversation history, list position, file previews, and narrow-screen interactions on mobile.
Mobile capabilities will roll out according to your organization's configuration.
Documents and drawings: finish work alongside the conversation
Workspace documents and drawings now provide a more complete authoring experience, so you can keep developing content directly in Romens AI.
- Create, open, and edit workspace documents and drawings beside a conversation.
- Add, remove, and adjust table rows and columns directly in a document.
- Select text and ask AI to continue writing, rewrite, summarize, or refine it.
- Improved document, PDF, image, and code previews reduce slowdowns with large files.
- Download Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, image, and other generated results directly from the web app.
- A new Workspace Daily Review summarizes work, outcomes, and follow-ups for a selected date, then lets you save the review as a document or download it as Markdown.
Models and long conversations: clearer choices and steadier recovery
- Simplified reasoning controls show the levels supported by the selected model.
- Temporary rate limits, service interruptions, and connection failures are retried automatically with visible recovery progress.
- If a long-conversation summary reaches its limit, staged fallback strategies help keep the conversation usable.
- The model picker now shows the context window and current usage.
- Fixed some problems with model switching, conversation restoration, and answers recovered after a retry.
Available models and reasoning options depend on your administrator's configuration.
Knowledge, voice, and company capabilities
- Open the complete source document from a knowledge reference and locate the cited excerpt and related images.
- Improved opening, closing, and restoring the Romens AI Knowledge tab.
- Dictate into the composer; recognized text stays in the draft until you choose to send it.
- Agents, skills, connectors, and plugins follow your organization's approved catalog, reducing unavailable or unauthorized entries.
- Improved authorization status and connection recovery for Romens Integration Cloud, Feishu, WeCom, and other connectors.
- Fixed cases where approved company connectors, including B2C, did not appear correctly.
Accounts and personalization
- Desktop data, settings, and workspaces are isolated between accounts and organizations.
- Existing workspaces and remembered accounts can be restored safely after upgrading, reducing repeated setup.
- New personal backgrounds and appearance themes extend across Home, conversations, knowledge, and authoring pages.
- Browser notifications can alert you when a task finishes and return you to the relevant conversation.
- Improved Home, menu, and settings choices for different product access levels.
Reliability improvements
- Better recovery from application startup, language-resource loading, and page update failures.
- Reduced the risk of lost drafts or content during concurrent Markdown saves and file replacement.
- Lower memory use for PDF, image, code, and conversation-history previews.
- Fixed macOS Chinese input, automatic conversation following, and cross-workspace layout restoration.
- Improved sign-in renewal, company authorization refresh, connector installation, and offline update behavior.
- Strengthened protection around sensitive actions, mobile connections, and local credentials.
Upgrade notes
Mobile full control, company knowledge, voice input, some models, and company connectors require administrator approval and may depend on matching server updates. Availability is based on what is enabled for your account.
Mini apps arrive, with better knowledge answers and workspaces
This update takes AI results beyond a single conversation. Ask Romens AI to build small tools you can keep using in your workspace, find the sources behind answers from company documents, and move more easily between tasks, files, and models.
New mini apps: ask AI to build an everyday tool
Describe what you need, such as a to-do board, a project tracker, or a data report, and Romens AI can help you create a mini app.
- Open it whenever you need it: mini apps stay in your workspace, so you do not have to build them again each time.
- Save and update data: keep records and configure scheduled refreshes.
- Share easily: create a read-only link for colleagues or customers, with optional password protection.
- Stay in control: calls to data sources and actions require your approval, and you can revoke those permissions at any time.
Mini apps are currently in Beta. We welcome your feedback and suggestions.
Company knowledge: easier research, with sources you can check
Select an authorized knowledge base or document in your conversation, and Romens AI can answer questions using those materials.
- References are grouped by document. Open them to read the relevant original excerpts and check an answer.
- References start collapsed, keeping answers easy to read without hiding their sources.
- Clearer messages distinguish no relevant results from a temporarily unavailable search service.
- An improved knowledge picker makes switching categories, searching, and selecting materials more comfortable.
Models: easier choices and smoother conversations
- Improved Rain model loading and connections help authorized accounts find available models.
- Better connection recovery after platform configuration changes reduces interruptions when continuing existing conversations.
- Choose how a supported model reasons, with options based on its capabilities and administrator settings.
- Clearer capability labels and error messages help explain what is available and what went wrong.
Workspaces and files: switch between tasks more easily
- Company apps are easier to find: app shortcuts on the home page have moved from below the chat box to the expandable Company apps tree menu in the left navigation. Expand the menu to browse and open apps without returning to the shortcuts below the chat box.
- A unified plus menu beside workspace tabs brings workspace switching and related actions together.
- Start a new conversation directly from a conversation panel when working on several tasks.
- My files brings generated results and personal files together for easier browsing and viewing.
- Sidebar, typography, and Chinese interface refinements make chatting, reading, and previewing files more comfortable.
Reliability improvements
